Media Content Developer

Overview: We are looking for a creative and skilled Media Content Developer to play a key role in translating complex policy concepts and project information into compelling and accessible multimedia content. The Media Content Developer will collaborate closely with our policy experts and clients to design and produce engaging videos, graphics, podcasts, and other media materials that effectively communicate policy messages to a wide audience. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical proficiency, and a passion for policy advocacy through media.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation: Develop and produce multimedia content, including videos, animations, infographics, podcasts, webinars, and written content, to effectively convey policy messages and insights.
  2. Scriptwriting: Collaborate with policy experts and clients to create compelling scripts and narratives for multimedia projects, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communication.
  3. Media Production: Oversee the end-to-end production process, including filming, editing, sound design, and post-production work, to ensure the highest quality content.
  4. Graphic Design: Create visually engaging graphics, charts, and infographics that enhance the understanding of policy issues and data.
  5. Research: Stay informed about policy developments and trends to ensure content remains relevant and up-to-date.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including policy analysts, communications specialists, and project managers, to align content with project objectives and client needs.
  7. Client Engagement: Consult with clients to understand their media content requirements, provide recommendations, and deliver content that meets or exceeds their expectations.
  8. Content Distribution: Assist in the dissemination of media content through various channels, including social media, websites, email campaigns, and public events.
  9. Feedback Integration: Collect and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and audiences to continuously improve the quality and impact of media content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in media content development, including video production, graphic design, and multimedia storytelling.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong understanding of public policy issues and the ability to distill complex ideas into clear and engaging content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to conceptualize and execute multimedia projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality content.
  • Familiarity with content distribution and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
